Thisyearhasgoneveryfast.Atthestartoftheyearthejuniorschoolstudentshadtheannualswimmingprogramandthehousesportswasadrawwithoneteamwinningasportscarnivaleach.Anumberofstudentsprogressedtothenextlevelwhichwasafantasticeffort.Theyears4-6hadasoccerandnetballtournamentwithWillaurainStawellwhichwasafunandsuccessfulday.Grade56alsohadacrickettournamentinArarat.TheLBDPSSAsportswereheldatWillauraitwasasuccessfuldaywithMadsieandTamihanawinningagegroupchampions.Theschoolplayfor2014wasSendintheClownswhichwasagreatsuccess.Everyoneknewtheirlinesanditwasawonderfuldaynightperformance.The56swentonanovernightcamptoMelbourneandwenttotheHolocaustmuseumandwenttothephoenixyouthcentreandhadahip-hoplessonwithJacinda.Thecampwasagreatlearningexperience.Thegrade56classalsowenttoAngleseafora4daycoastalandsnorkellingcamp.Theprepsalsohadasleepoverandgrade1-4hadcampundercanvas.Theyearhasgoneveryquicklybuthasbeenwonderful.Thankstoalloftheteachersforagreatyear.ChloeLeaskandJakeLittleJuniorSchoolCaptainsReportTheyearhasgoneveryquicklybuthasbeenwonderful04 Overthecourseof2014theCollegehasseensomechangesandimprovementsthebiggestimpactisthechangeinleadership.AtthebeginningoftheyearwewelcomedouractingPrincipalGeorgePorterwhohasdedicatedhistimeandefforttowardsourstudentsandstaff.Manyimprovementshaveollowedwithmoreopportunitiesorstudentstoexploretheiroptionsandexpresstheiropinions.ForthefrsttimetheVCEstudentshavealsobeengiventheopportunityoalietimetotraveloverseastoIndiaoranexperiencetheywillneverorget.Throughouttheyearwehavebeenholdingundraiserssuchasthedriveinmovienightcarwashandmanymore.Wehaveworkedveryhardtoraisethemoneyandweareveryexcitedtobeonourway.AlongwiththiswehaveseentherenovationotheprimarykitchenthankstotheparentsclubtheimprovementontheschoolgardensthankstoRebeccaBlackburnandstudentsandmanyclassroomchangesincludingbeanbagsintheEnglishroomandanewVCEroom.ThesecondarystudentshavebeenonmanytripsincludingnumerousootytripstoMelbournetheMelbourneshowwhichwasablastandtheAdvanceclassgoingsailinganddoingsurliesaving.MyselandSarahhavealsobeeninvolvedinVETcoursesinBallaratwhichwehaveenjoyedgreatlyandrecommendittoothers.ThisyearhasbeenlongbutunandwehopeallthestudentsteachersandparentshaveenjoyeditandwewishyouasaeandhappyholidayCaseyPotterandSarahThewlisSeniorSchoolCaptainsReportMoreopportunitiesorstudentstoexploretheiroptionsandexpresstheiropinions05
